The soundhole on all was an offset oval and the bridge had a very unique shape. The bridge was Pau ferro with laminated ebony and the electronics were active. The tuners were Fender/Schaller models with pearl buttons. Note: Using non Kramer Ferrington components and parts from the wrong time era with decrease the value. Use parts from other guitars to make it functional once more. The custom model had a solid spruce top, Honduras mahogany back and sides, maple neck with a rosewood fretboard that had no inlays. At first they will seem a little rubbery but after playing a few times you'll fall in love with them. They play better with a little higher action than I prefer on my fenders. Once they were on the bass, and after humidifying inside the body the top flattened out a bit and I didn't need the neck shims. I had shims in mine for a while but then I put on lower tension strings that I love, Thomastik JF344 Jazz Flatwounds. Since the neck is a standard 34" 4 hole fender style neck you can shim it it to fix any action issues. Actually the bridge is completely stable. It's top is slightly warped, just a bit of bow by the soundhole, it looks worse than it is, especially because under the bridge it's sloping.
